GIDEON: A STUDY IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE – PART 3
INTRODUCTION:
We began the study of the life history of Gideon by nothing that the wages of sin is death: spiritual, financial and otherwise. And that God calls the things that are not as though they were, calling a fearful young man a “mighty man of valour”. Today, we shall continue to study the life of that “mighty man of Valour” may the Lord bless richly as we do so in Jesus Name. Amen.
1. OBEDIENCE PLUS A WORTHY OFFERING EQUALS AN
ACCEPTABLE OFFERING.
Gideon requested a sign from the Divine visitor: that he be allowed to offer his hospitality. All great men and women of the Bible are hospitable people. However, it is not only their worthy offerings that make them acceptable to God, it is their obedience to God in all-things that is mixed with their offerings. If God has to choose, He will prefer obedience to any offering at any time.
